Shipping, returns & policies

Pre-orders

Every RK-1 sold today is a pre-order. You pay at checkout, and your unit ships in an estimated 4–6 weeks from your order date. Every first-run unit is numbered and initialed by the creator; your unit number is assigned when it ships. The early adopter price is $129; the retail price at launch will be $149.

You'll receive an order confirmation email immediately at checkout, and a shipping notification with tracking the day your unit ships.
You can cancel any time before your unit ships for a full, immediate refund — just email hello@risekeys.com with your order number.
If our timeline slips beyond the estimate, we'll email you with an updated date — and the cancel-for-full-refund option always stands until the moment it ships.

Returns & refunds — the 30-day promise

Simple version: you have 30 days from delivery to return your RK-1 for a full refund.

Faulty, damaged, or not working? That's on us. We'll replace it or refund you in full, and we cover the return shipping.
Changed your mind? No hard feelings — return it within 30 days for a full refund of the purchase price. You cover return shipping, and the unit needs to arrive complete and in working condition.
Compatibility promise: if your keyboard turns out not to work with the RK-1, we treat it like a faulty unit — full refund and we pay the return shipping.
To start a return, email hello@risekeys.com with your order number and we'll send instructions.
Refunds go to your original payment method within 5–10 business days of us receiving the unit.

Shipping

Pre-order units ship in an estimated 4–6 weeks from order.
The first production run ships to US addresses only. International shipping is planned for later runs.
Shipping cost and available regions are shown at checkout before you pay.
Every shipment includes tracking, sent to your email.
If your unit arrives damaged in transit, email us within 7 days with a photo and we'll ship a replacement.

Privacy

Checkout is handled by Shopify; we receive only what's needed to fulfill your order — name, shipping address, and email.
We use your email for order updates. Product-news email is optional and every message has an unsubscribe link.
The RK-1 itself collects nothing. It has no account, no microphone, and works fully offline — your playing, recordings, and progress never leave the device.

Cookies & tracking

risekeys.com sets no cookies and uses no analytics, no ad pixels, and no third-party trackers. Fonts are served from our own server. There is nothing to consent to, so there is no cookie banner.
Checkout happens on Shopify, which uses strictly necessary cookies to operate your cart and payment. Those are governed by Shopify's own privacy policy, linked at checkout.

Trademarks

Yamaha, Roland, Casio, Korg, Kawai, Alesis, Arturia, Akai, M-Audio, Novation, Donner, and any other brand names mentioned on this site are trademarks of their respective owners. They are used solely to indicate compatibility with class-compliant USB MIDI equipment. Rise Keys is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any of these companies. Shopify is a trademark of Shopify Inc. "Rise Keys" and "RK-1" are trademarks of Rise Keys.

Terms of sale & disclaimers

Prices are in US dollars. Applicable sales tax and shipping are shown at checkout before you pay.
The $129 early adopter price applies to pre-orders placed before retail launch; we reserve the right to correct obvious pricing or typographical errors.
Product images on this site include artist's renderings; final product appearance may vary. Specifications may be refined before shipping — if a change is significant, we'll email you and your cancel-for-full-refund option applies as always.
Bluetooth MIDI support arrives as a free software update after launch and adds roughly 10–20 ms of latency versus a USB cable.
Rise Keys is a practice and performance aid; rates of musical progress vary by person and practice time.
You must be 18 or older to purchase, or use the site with a parent or guardian.
To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the purchase price of the product. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under applicable consumer protection law.
